We’re stationary for the moment, but we look forward to being on our way in a few weeks to warmer places! Until then I’ll be sharing some of my favorite things that make this season of the year so special. Do you have any feedback for me? Share it with me in the comments!
Autumn is my least favorite season, but Thanksgiving is by far my favorite holiday. I have wonderful memories of large meals with the whole family, of getting together with friends and cooking and eating together, and sharing the joy of the season with my children.
The Bible is full of thanksgiving and praise of God and what He does and has done for us. The book of Psalms is especially rich in poems and songs of praise. I encourage you as we enter this Thanksgiving season, to take time every day to read through and contemplate the verses below. Read the verses around them to gain a better understanding of the context and why the author was giving thanks or praise. Prayerfully consider how you can exhibit praise and thanksgiving in your day-to-day life.
And don’t forget to share them with your friends and family! So many of these verses talk about proclaiming God’s praises in the streets, to everyone who will listen. If you have an opportunity to share, don’t miss it!
