RV Renovations Round Four

Every summer we take the time to make a few changes to our RV, and last summer was no exception. This time we tackled the flooring in the slide.

I don’t know about you, but when it comes to carpet in RVs I despise it. With kids and a dog it is so hard to keep clean and the carpet in our slide was in poor shape. So while we were hanging out at the grandparents’ house in late August we decided to rip it out and replace it with vinyl plank flooring. Since my parents had some left over from their recent home renovations we decided to use that and purchased an extra box to cover our entire slide floor. This is a floating floor, so we only glued down the front planks and secured the rest with quarter round.

We love how this floor turned out and are considering replacing the rest of the flooring throughout the kitchen and kids’ room with the same vinyl planks next summer.

Update February 2022: This floor still looks great and moves well with our slide. No complaints so far!
