When we decided to remove the dinette and desk in our slide for our third(?) round of RV renovations we knew we had to bring in some new furniture. Based on reviews from other RVers we went with RecPro, an RV parts store that carries pretty much everything needed for RV renovations and repairs.
We ordered our first set of RecPro Charles 30″ RV Wall Hugger Recliners in September of 2020. They arrived a few weeks later in damaged boxes, but the chairs themselves were fine. They were light, very easy to bring into our RV and put together, and they looked great.
However, they didn’t look great for long. By February of 2021 (just four months later) the material was beginning to pull apart at the seams and crack. I contacted RecPro, who agreed to replace them under warranty. We opted to have the chairs shipped in May of 2021 to our home state so we could guarantee we’d have a place to store them until we could replace them in the RV.
The new chairs, again, arrived in damaged boxes but otherwise looked great. And, once again, they didn’t look great for long. Within six months the material was cracking and pulling apart at the seams, just like the previous set had. This time we weren’t going to be in any one place long enough to receive a large shipment and opted to try to repairing them with furniture tape instead of getting the chairs replaced for the second time.
But by summer of 2022 the chairs were in rough shape, so I contacted RecPro again, nearly two years after we ordered our first chairs. They agreed to replace the chairs one last time under warranty (the warranty was good for two years) and shipped them out to us for the third time. This time I pressed them about why the fabric was so poor, and they recommended that we use a leather conditioner to keep the faux leather from drying out, “tightening” and becoming brittle.
So far these chairs are looking better than the previous sets with the recommended twice monthly treatment of leather conditioner.
Would we recommend RecPro to other RV owners? Yes. They were great to work with and they have so many products to choose from. However, I would not recommend buying these specific recliners because of the fabric.

They are the worst in the rv parts. I ordered a loveseat but only received the left side. I have emailed them called them and with every communication they get more hateful.
I ordered a new loveseat but received the left chair. I’ve made numerous calls and emails they give me every excuse they can think of to not help me. This company is sooooo horrible when and if I every get the other half I never go to them to buy anything!
We installed the double recliner with the theater seating . In the first two years they started peeling on the headrests, , the outer arms and the footrest. They are a total mess and an embarrassment to us when people come into our motorhome. They never answered any of our emails and we are now looking for a good quality set. We had big hopes for these and they did not hold up…
